Like all cat care you should inspect and if need be clean around your cats eyes regularly, look for any discharge around the eye. Take special care not to touch your the eye. If you do see discharge wipe it with a cotton ball. I have read that if there is a lot of discharge lightly dampen the cotton ball to help with the cleaning, make sure to wipe with a dry cotton ball afterward.
