Cats ears should be checked once a week and need to be kept clean to prevent things like ear mites, bacterial, fungal and yeast infections. It is normal for a little was to build up inside your cats ear. Cats ears are very delicate so take great care and do not put things or poke them. To clean gently wipe with a cotton ball using a light motion.
If you see dark brown wax in the ear may be a sign of ear mites, look for signs of persistent scratching. The best advice is if you suspect problems with your cats ears consult your vet.
